Default '96 F350 w/o OBD2 - scanner?

I need a way to scan CE codes in my truck. This apparently was the last truck made before the switch to OBD2. Would that be EEC-IV?

The CEL comes on after 10 minutes or so of steady cruise, usually with the cruise control on. Everything runs fine. The light does not come back on at the next restart.

Ideally I would like a setup to use an iPad or Android tablet via BT or wifi, but I'd settle for a dedicated scan tool.

What are you guys using that you like?

Yea, '96 250s and 350s are OBDI. I like my paperclip scanner.
