94 engine into 89 f150 l6
trying to put a 94 f150 l6 into 89 f150 both regular cabs 2wd atx (e40d). the 89 engine harness has 4 connectors where it comes into the rest of the wiring, and the 94 has 1 large plug. also 94 dizzy has no control module(it was fender mounted) and 89 has it on the dizzy. im guessing i cant even do a rewire, how do you guys do it. also trans are identical do you guys swap both or would you separate tranny from engine and install separate. i have got both(engine with trannies still connected) on floor side by side. whole front of the truck is apart.

engine swap pieces
ok well that was impressively easy and engine and tranny went in together too. now onto the tranny problems, 1 the tranny mount bolts are of different lengths, and i know im gonna fix that cause i cant swap mounts the bolt was stripped. but 2 the gear selector on the 94 was a cable and the 89 was a solid linkage. the 94's selector shaft is unboltable, but the 89s, doesnt seem like it comes off any insight what i can do here?
