94 5.0 o2 pigtail issue
ill try to make this short guys, i had a CEL and got a code 172 o2 indicates lean, i thought replace the o2 but that was not the problem. my problem was the connector on the harness side of the wiring was so badly corroded one of the wires completely broke away and the rest were not long for this world. after spending 50.00 on a new o2 i discovered this. i went to the local Ford dealer and ordered a new pigtail connector seen here http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-FORD-OEM-o2-OXYGEN-SENSOR-PIGTAIL-HARNESS-1U2Z-14S411-ZA-/231221287035?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AF-150&hash=item35d5dcd87b&vxp=mtrmy issue is going to be figuring out what wire goes where. can anyone help me with this? i know there is some emissions gurus here thanks in advance

ouch. When I redid my exhaust I made plug in extenders for my sensors. I believe the wire colors are 2 whites, a black, and some other color. I went based off the pins at the plug. I hope the guys there get it done for you

the colors on mine are different i have 2 black one orange and gray/lt blue. my plug basically fell apart in my hands so i couldnt even line up the wires by placing plugs next to each other. i just have a round socket hanging there now. i wish there was more info out there about this problem but i looked and looked and not much if any, i know im not the only one with this problem especially since the battery acid is the culprit

UPDATE: i got the connector installed, i still got the 172 CEL so i replaced the o2 sensor and i still have the damn 172 code. this is really becoming a headache, i checked for vacuum leaks by ear and with starting fluid and cannot find any. what other possible causes are there for this damn code

i was thinking, could i have a problem with my ECT sensor? maybe its telling the computer the engine is warm when its still cold or vice versa?
maybe fuel pressure is low? ill switch tanks tomorrow and see what happens cause the light comes on only after driving a couple miles.
what i usually do when i start my truck is let run for about 1 1/2 minutes just till she idles down then i take off the engine is in no way warmed up, and about couple minutes after that i get the CEL
