Default '90 f150 w/ 302 5MOD no back up lights.

Hi all, new member here from oregon. I recently got a 1990 f150 with a 5.0 5mod from the original owner. Truck is (imo) in good condition for $900. Everything works except the driver side power window and power locks, the back up lights also don't work. I can let the other things like the power windows and locks go for now but I really NEED back up lights. I get crazy looks when I open my door to look behind me pushing on the gas and accelerator at the same time to use the brake lights as light. That obviously doesn't work. I'm 16 and am learning all this stuff so I know bits and pieces of how everything works. I know alot but not enough. I looked under my truck and I don't see any severed wiring or uncoupled connectors. Any suggestions? Ive already checked the bulbs and they are good.

I just replaced the reverse light switch and I still got nothing. The bulbs are good I checked them with a small charger and they lit up. Any thing else I should look for?

thanks

I have the same problem. 1990 F150 5MOD. Checked reverse light sensor, wires and bulbs all good. Seems like either whatever engages to strike the reverse light when engaged in reverse is not hitting the sensor switch since it's such a low profile bearing and takes some force to nudge it down to engage the switch.
