My fuel pump on the rail wont turn on its been fine. I left the truck running earlier went and shifted into reverse and that was that it died. Now i ran temporary constant power to it anf it turned on take ut away and nothing anybody have any ideas???? 89 f150 4.9l i6 5 speed

under dash by the fuse box is a red button press it.

Well that wasnt the problem lol. It was the fact i melted a hole in the positive connection gas was pooring out from that connection shorting the pump out. Long story short pulled it put a new one in 20 mins later bam fired right up.
