88 f150 ign wiring help
I have a 88 f150 with the 300. After months of fighting a cold start problem I think I fixed it.
The previous owner cut two wires out of that plug and just twisted them together. I know it's a part of the ign wiring. If I separate the wires the and turn the key nothing happens. Put them together and it starts.
My question is where does the plug really go? I've looked under the dash and can't see or feel anything. The cruise control doesn't work either, I doubt it but could this also be apart of that?

Don't recognize it offhand, but it probably used to plug in somewhere. Maybe look up a wiring diagram and follow the colours to find out what it's supposed to be plugged into. Could be a module of some sort went bad and somebody just bypassed it by joining wires together.
You can also try and see all the areas it will reach to there may be a plug, module or bracket for one somewhere in that area.

Like chris said grab a flashlight and just move the plug in every direction as far as it will go, your connector is in that area somewhere. May be something to do with the trailer brake/light but I can't tell just from looking at it.
