Exclamation 1996 F150 Starting Problems

I'm having some difficulties with starting my 1996 Ford F150 pickup truck.

It was not starting, so I thought the battery was dead. So I tried to jump it. That did seem to help.

Then, I noticed that if I push and wiggle the key while turning the ignition, it seemed to start fine. So, that worked for a few days.

Now, when I try to start it, the wiggling/pushing still works, but it struggles more to start. It takes longer to start running fully. And, I get a strong smell of gasoline when I start it now.

What do you think could be wrong with it? And how can I fix it?

Default

Ignition switch, not the key the electrical switch. Or the ignition switch actuator.
