Default 1995 Cruise control question.

I checked all fuses and are good, I took apart the cruise control module and it looked like new inside, all gears turned fine and the cable isn't broke, has tension on it when moving the metal gear inside the module. It appears recall was done because I have a big blue piece of tape with writing that says there is a fused link. When I press the cruise button I hear a click in the dash somewhere, cant tell where its coming from. But it never works. Truck has 50,000 original miles, horn works etc. Is the cruise in any way connected with the multi-function switch?? I know it has issues, I tried to use the 4 way flashers and my turn signals stopped working, I sprayed some lubricant behind the flasher button and signals now work but still no 4 ways, waiting on a new switch in mail.

Maybe a clock spring? Does your horn work?

Dealer says no recalls listed, can you tell by picture if recall parts are on it now?

lol weird, maybe it does run through the multi switch? I know I was getting very irritated when I put a fuse in and my signals stopped working. After 4 days going crazy trying to figure it out, I remembered I tried the 4 ways right after I replaced the fuse. Messed with the 4 way switch, sprayed some lubricant behind it and signals work again. So maybe a new multi switch, I will know in a few days when it arrives.

Does the light on the cab(3rd brake light) have to work for cruise to work? Last owner had a canopy and disconnected the 3rd brake light.
