Here's the one like the one I have, its for sale on ebay:
And then the second one looks like it might be the same except different color.

Manuals like these are worth every penny and will pay for themselves.

Well, I got paid today, took the alternator in to have it tested, and it failed, So put new alternator in, and still not charging. I've reviewed everything I should have, and the only thing I can think of now is the computer is toast. Does the computer have anything to do with the charging system, like when to switch the alternator on?

ok, then I guess I need to search and find all the fuseable links related to the alternator. I thought I found them all, but I guess not. Also, would it make sense to replace the fuselinks with actual inline fuses?

Fusible links and inline fuses do the same thing, inline fuses are much bulkier. Autozone sells the links cheap.

This is for a 90, should be the same, 2g schematic.
And another site: http://oldfuelinjection.com/?p=63

I had difficulties with the main plug, and more particular the white wire on the main plug.

I replaced both plugs including all the wires in the harness. I attached a wire to the ground on the alternator, and if I touch that wire to ground when the vehicle is running it will steadily climb right on up to and past 18 volts on that gauge. otherwise it doesn't work at all. any thoughts?
As a side note, after fielding the alternator it gradually declines.

Have you verified the fusible link is good?

i replaced the inline fuse with blade fuse holders. seeing as I am chasing down electrical issues, it is faster to swap out a fuse if there is an issue.
There seems to be some confusion, but when I say I replaced the whole alternator harness, I mean exactly that, I only reused the plug that goes to the gauge. Everything else is brand new wire. brand new plugs, and brand new fuses in fuse holders.
