I have had my F150 for a little over a year and I check ebay often for parts that I need.
I bought a drivers seat lever and dash pad off ebay. I needed the drivers seat bottom reupholstered, so I went to a local shop. They had some of the Lapis Blue material. Paid $285 but the seat sits really good now. Granted the new material is not faded like the rest, but I am happy with it. If I had to do it again, I would search ebay for a set (there is one on there now, I believe) so that it would better match the rest (faded).
I looked quite a while for interior door panels and just picked some up that seem to be about as good as you could expect for 20 year old plastic parts.
Mechanical stuff, well I get Motorcraft when I can for sensors and such. For the rest I just look around to find what I want.
I am somewhat OCD about stuff so I pay more than some might, but this truck is in really good shape and getting better. I don't mind dropping a little money here and there on it. It does what I need it to do.
It's not as nice as a new F150 might be, but it doesn't cost me what a new F150 would, either

same for brakelines, spindles, and many of the dana/spicer stuff Ford used over the years.
You may find that 1993 was a change over year - where some trucks, like my 1992, have some "early" parts and some "late" parts. Especially the FlareSides.
I chase the local pick a parts, LMC, car flea markets and eBay (caution: many eBay sellers are not part number/fitment savy - i.e. clueless, so be sure what you are buying, and the pictures are seldom the actual part).
Like others, I will pay a premium for NOS and Ford parts, some of the "new"parts are junk out of the box. I replaced two turn signal/wiper switches for a friend, before I told him the third one should be Ford/BorgWarner, not a no name.

I shop for my 95 150 at JCWhitney catalog but not the one on line. Got my hard copy today and read the whole thing marking pages for 87-96 F150. Also has Bronco parts. Have 3 novels started this year yet to finish but I read the JCW catalog this evening. I also like LMC and surprisingly Auto Zone. Check out my purple truck on the Flare side thread. The boa and python headliner was faux leather I got off eBay quality stuff at reasonable prices and Mark Torg in Prescott Valley perfected the interior of standard cab. Wow. Learning a lot reading all these threads.

Here's the order I use to check for parts:
1) Rockauto
2) Amazon
3) Tasca
4) ebay
5) Jeff's Bronco Graveyard
6) LMC
If I need something that day I will go with:
1) Knecht's (local chain that carries some motorcraft stuff))
2) Advance Auto Parts
3) NAPA
4) O'Reillys
5) Autozone
I rate these based on quality, price, and general availability of what I am looking for.
