Want to buy '92-'96 Ford F-150 AM/FM CD Ford player
Does anyone know where I can buy a OEM Ford AM/FM CD player for a 1996 Ford F-150? I haven't yet figured out how to post an effin ad in the "classifieds" section.

There are a few online sellers of OEM radios; I found this one a while back through a Google search:

I was tempted, but eventually went aftermarket since I've gone all-MP3 from my USB fob or iPhone. If these supported CD-Rs or RWs burned with MP3 files it would be different, but I've gotten spoiled to having more than a dozen or so songs in the head unit at a given time.

Exactly...I know that's why I went with a modern, aftermarket unit. I can store 10 to 12 songs on a CD and play it in a $189 unit, or store hundreds of songs on a $15 USB fob and play that on a $79 unit with better sound. Easy choice for me.
I believe you're right, and that's probably why a single-DIN Ford OEM CD player is so rare, and as a result, expensive. There just weren't many made before Ford switched to double-DIN units, at about the same time that factory-installed CD players became common. It's probably also why the unit I posted the link to includes an adapter; these were only offered with the Premium Sound package, and the adapter "dumbs it down" to work with the standard sound system wiring (and possibly without the Premium Sound amplifier, although I'm not 100% sure about that).
