Default Steering column repair or swap

Hello all!
The truck is a 91 f150 xlt lariat
5.0.
I got this truck really cheap several years ago. Couldn't pass it up. It is rough.

The steering column seems loose and is often difficult to tilt. Is it repairable or would it be possible to swap with one out of a 94?
Any input is much appreciated.

Thanks Mike

Let me see if I can ask a different way.

If I can not repair my steering column, should I be able to take a column from a newer model truck and replace it?

Yes. Any attempt to put a later column or wheel in it would involve major fabrication and rewiring. Look for somebody parting one out.
