Default power window wount go up

on my 1992 f150. I have had problems with them in the past. so i got a new motor for both of them but now there is something else wrong. they both go down and the motor works because i took them out tested them and then immediately put them back in they go down fine but they struggle going up and if i push them up with my hand it gradually falls down. any body have any idea what is going on and how to fix it.

I had that same problem with mine. I took the motor back and got a different one and that fixed my problem.

You should also check the condition of the regulator, lube it up. As long as you are poking around in the door ensure that the tracks are straight and free of debris.

I had the same problem on my 1988 f150. There is a plastic gear inside the motor and it is probably worn out. I got one at autozone for $20 and it came with a lifetime warranty.

Default Cheap fix ....about 35 cents!!!

Mine was doing the same thing. I have a 94 and the plastic gear was going bad (stripped) and I found an easy fix on YouTube. Cost's was about 35 cents.....really! I bought three 1/4 nuts (maybe 5/16) was a few years ago. Place the nuts into the white gear where you'll see when you open it up. Close up the gear and it should work! Mine has been working for at least 5 or 6 years now. Do a search on YouTube and you should find it. Good luck.
