Default Old sticker removal

I've just purchased my truck, and there was an old sticker that looked like it had been there for years on the dash. Got it peeled off with a lot of elbow grease but now the dis colored residue remains. Tried goo gone, alcohol, and even some acetone nail polish remover (too harsh) to try and get it off.

What are my options? Don't want to go heavy chemical bc the acetone started pulling blue color off. May have to breakdown and repaint the dash, but figured I'd ask for ideas here first.

Mayonaise(the salad dressing don't use it can't spell it). Have no idea if it will work, heard it is good for taking stickers off windows. Maybe WD40.

An appliance tech I knew used peanut butter to get sticker residue off fridges.

Still thinking on this one, haven't resolved it as of yet. The more I research my new truck the more I discover parts availability and good pricing. Might be worth just swapping to another dash from LMC or similar.

I'd try some Gooo Gone. The orange oil kind. It would be a lot cheaper than a dash for sure! Spray it on and let it work on it for an hour or so then take a plastic pot scraper to get the crap off with gently. Ive had good results with this stuff when other products failed to do anything. Give it a whirl Dusty!

I was using Goo Gone, but applying it then immediately scrubbing. Didn't think about letting it soak for a while so will give that a go. At this point I can't really do the dash any more harm, was going to cover it with something creative that's not an eyesore until I could get a replacement dash anyway.
