Default Oh S*** handles

I have a 1996 F150 and it is the XL so no grab handles. The truck has a 2.5 inch lift and 32" tires so it sits higher then stock. I have no problem getting in since I can grab the steering wheel, but my girlfriend is 5'2" so needless to say it is a jump for her. I made a set of Cinderella steps but I don't like them so I would rather have handles. Plus the handles are needed when I go off-roading, right now the passenger has no means of holding on.

Has anybody put handles in their truck? Or know of a kit that let's me put them in?

I'm not aware of any grab handle kits but I would suggest that you don't use the steering wheel to pull yourself up, sold lot's of steering column bearings over the years due to that.

I've seen some on the outside of the cab behind the door to help get in, but I've never seen anyone put them on the inside. If you decide to do this please take pictures and make a short guide as to how you did it. I'm sure a lot of people would be interested, myself included.

I have seen a couple pictures of people who had put them in. I can't remember exactly where I saw them, but I know there is an explanation somewhere in this forum of what someone did. I believe they took some out of an Explorer or something of the likes, and put them in. I had bookmarked it a few months ago ( I remember because I wanted to do it ), but that computer crashed and the bookmarks list I had with it. =(

Anyways, I know it can be done, and I have always wanted to do it myself, but if you search enough, you can find it somewhere on here.

I have thought of fabricating my own "literal" OH **** handles. (The handle is made of the letters OH****. \
