Once you find that seat pan assembly, you can mount pretty much any set of seats you want to it. Your imagination and ingenuity are your only limits. The 1992-1996 40/20/40 seats and 1992-1996 captains chairs with the center console were engineered mount directly to that seat pan assembly. However, with some basic mechanical skill you could mount F-150 seats from 1997-2017 trucks to that floor pan assembly. I've seen pics of all kind of OBS Ford trucks with more modern day sears in them.

Sorry to jack this thread but just checking- I have a 94 extended cab XLT. It has two captains chairs and a center console. Should I have that seat pan assembly then? I'd really like to put a 40/20/40 (or 60/40) split bench in out of another extended cab truck

No, that pan was for the regular cab/crewcab models. The seats you mention should bolt right in if they're from an 80 to 96. Anything else you have to get creative anyway.

White7wokf. You will need to seat take the mounting brackets including the seat track off your captains chairs and mount them to the 40 seats. In order to mount the 20 jumpseat, you will need to buy a bracket like this on eBay and mouth this bracket to the bottom of the jumpseat so that it will bolt right in to the floor of your truck

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to figure out installing them but I'm not sure about getting the heat to work. My plan is to find a wiring diagram for the new seats and to use some kind of rotary switch to turn the heat off and on and adjust the amount of heat. I'm assuming the heat is adjustable but I'm not familiar with newer F150s and the controls for the heat are not on the seat itself. I'm guessing they are located on the dash or steering wheel. My question basically is if this seems like a feasible solution? I'd be mounting the rotary switch next to the other controls on the seat.
I'm not 100% sure but they have 3 levels of heat. You SHOULD be able to get the switch from your local Ford dealer. I would also assume there is (are) relay(s) involved as well. If u remember, I'll check with our parts department at my dealership tomorrow.
