Was just messing with some yesterday on a 96 F350. It was set with the top buttons in the bracket - so it was as low as it could go. I think they probably use the same mechanism for cars as well, that would maybe be the reason for multiple positions.

Most likely, why make 23 parts when one can do the same for all? I feel like they do that with EVERYTHING now because even the headlights are the same. The focus, fiesta, and escape all look like crazy African beetles or something.
