Default Help with dash removal

Good Sunday evening to all

I am in the process of removing dash to do a much needed deep cleaning and painting of plastic interior parts.
I am so close to having dash out. It seems as though so a rod associated with the parking brake seems to be attached around the fuse block. Can anyone guide me in its removal?

Thanks Mike

I just had a look at an 87 with the dash out today. I see the piece you're talking about,it looks like there's a place for a bolt at the very end, furthest from the firewall.
Other than that it looks like it's attached to the firewall by 2 bolts that are accessed from the engine side.

I finally got it out. I think it was getting to dark and I had one to many carbonated beverages. Some of those wire connectors, so brittle with a grand hard to pull apart. Easy to break tabs.
Now I hope I can remember how to get it all back together.

How many hours total did it take you to fully remove your dash? I need to clean, repaint mine as part of a full body off frame restoration I'm doing on mine.

I completely disassembled and removed mine in 30-45 minutes with two people. Dyed it black and let it sit over night then about an hour to get it all put in by myself.

Thanks

should be able to find ford interior color codes online. You can get generic colors such as black at any auto parts store

And heres a link to order the color correct matching dye. Select ford then select f250/350 6.0l then 2005 and it will pull up medium flint. Doesnt matter if its 150/250/350 they all use same interior color codes. Sherwin williams auto should be able to do it also.
