I took before and after pics, spot the difference I guess? I'm not sure what else to show? It's the back of the gauge face where the green tint is not the front you scrape off the back of the face not the front. If you are worried your going to mess it up you can always sent to me, ill do it for you.

The before and after shot of the backside of the speedo face actually look exactly the same to me. the only difference I can see is that on the second one, the "MPH" in the middle is more clear. Well, like I said, I have an extra cluster that I can practice with. I have a small micro file that I can try to scrape off most of the stuff with, and then maybe finish it off with some rubbing alcohol so as not to scratch it too much. I'll let you know how it goes. thanks!!

It's more clear because I scrapped off the green tint. That is the tint you need to scrape off. I don't know how to make it anymore clearer then the pictures I took. Sorry. It is not rocket science I used my trusty pocket knife to do the entire conversion lol

I would not use a file your going to dammage the plastic if you do. It's best to use something that does not grind or file because before you know it you will be ruining the plastic. A razor blade or normal knife will do just fine again just be carful not to gauge the plastic. Not sure if you will need the rubbing alcohol of if you should due to the electronics close by it. I'd love to see the progress! Post them right in this thread and take tons of pictures!!!!!

This is an awesome guide, even though I have a 91 and the dash is different its basically the same idea, I switched mine to "ice blue" with out taking the tint off it does come through as a teal colour more then blue so if you want blue you're going to need to take the tint off which I will eventually be doing... quick question for anyone here that may be able to toss an idea at me I have the overdrive button on my dash and the word "overdrive" is burnt out but I can't seem to figure out what bulb lights it up, anyone else have this happen or know how to fix it??

Thanks captain. I'm aware I need to change a bulb but it looks like there's only one in there and its lit up still, the "D" is illuminated but "overdrive" isn't.

You need to hange the bulb, apart from that, check to see if the gauge face is aligned properly, that could cause it as well.

Hm, looked like there was only one bulb in there which was lit up.. hmm.. I'll need to rip it apart again when I do some other stuff and take a better look lol
