I love how the whole speedometer lights up. The white is too bright for me I think but I really like the center section. At least at night lol

And where, what brand, and how much was your vacuum gauge? I want one but I can't find anything mechanical that doesn't say "boost" on it anymore. Also have you considered an A-pillar gauge pod? They have some nifty ones for 2 and 3 gauges. Of course they do only fit 2 1/16 gauges so that rules out most things we would actually want.

You dont go on Ebay much do you lol ive seen hundereds of vaccum gauges on ebay from mecanical to electrical. and most parts stores carrry a small selection of gauges and always has a book filled with ones you can order.

they make a gauge pod set up for the A pillars. Persoanlly Ive made gauge pods for less then a dollar each Home depot is the ****.

I do from time to time. But the only mechanical vacuum gauges I've found have been either 200+ or say boost on the face. I don't need a damn boost gauge!!

And I've never seen a book for them. And I know they have sets but the only things I'd really care to have is a mini tac, fuel pressure, and vacuum.

you might have to ask for the book and yeah there not cheap lol I got a electric trans temp gauge for 60 bucks Auto meter is pretty good but again very expensive. vacuum gauges are boost gauges and most of them are used for turbo applications so your going to see Boost alot on the cheapos....

a decent digital gauge like what Supra has is around 150+ at stores ive seen them on Ebay for 90+ gauges good ones are not cheap. I have a Mini tach on my 94 Sunpro works great for 4 years now 35 bucks advanced auto.

side note, Im pretty sure most if not all aftermarket vacuum gauges are mechanical..

I don't have that kind of money to throw around at the moment. What size is your tac by the way? I like the pillar look for extra gauges, but they only accept 2 1/16. Keeps it nice and clean and no dashboard clutter. And I was not aware of that, I just noticed that the style I liked said mechanical so I figured there were different options. I honestly know very little about them. Do they sell vacuum gauges like the ones they have in U-Hauls? They're like a generic eco gauge. But since vacuum is almost directly related to your fuel mileage it makes sense.

mista breeze, my vacuum gauge is a mechanical type and its from a company called apc.im looking for another gauge to put on but havent decided on what yet, might be either exhaust temp or air/fuel ratio.and i bought it off a guy on ebay brand new with the box and instructions for $15 shipped and all.ive seen f150's with the a-pillar gauges and at first i liked it (thats what i had on my supra) but then i started seeing everybody with them and i really didnt want people pulling up next to me thinking i was running an engine with so many mods i needed that many gauge.plus i didnt want to be like all the other trucks ive seen out there.maybe one day in the future if i got turbo,or do an all motor buiild ill change my mind about the a-pillar gauge but for now im happy with the setup i have.it just seemed too convenient to have all that empty flat space on the dash and NOT use it to miunt gauge pods.i have my tach turned a bit to face me completely and i have space for a second gauge pod(which i'll need soon) do you have any pics of your dash??

it looks like the gauge faces are the issue for the odometer not lighting up, then again i could be wrong.
oh yea by the way, when i had the original bulbs,it worked fine.then i when to some autozone red painted bulbs but it was really a weak red,but all the lights worked fine.when i installed the red l.e.d. bulbs, thats when i lost my odometer light.thinking about it now, that bulb is a light emitting diode and diodes only allow current in one direction and not in the opposite.im going to try to flip the bulb and see what happens.hey, at least its worth a shot.

p.s. i'll try to take more pics at a parking lot lol

I'm just messing with you, for 30 bucks you can get one at the junk yard.
as for the gauge its a 2 1/6in tach and its mounted on my steering columb.
as for the vac gauges thats what i was talking about the red green and yellow on them.

as for the Pillar gauge cluster you can rig it to accept smaller ones however if you cannot find the gauge you need in that size odds are its not made. I can find trans temp gauges vac gauges boost gauges Nos gauges tach gauges oil pressure and temp voltage gauges gauges coolent temp gauges all in that size. hell theres one autmeter makes that has oil temp presure trans temp and volt all in one Go to Autometer.com or any other company that makes gauges get the part number then google it.

It's really not too bad - like they all said.

One suggestion while you're in there... use a magnifying glass and double check the factory soldering. I had to "shore up" a couple of ground wires' soldering (to make sure my Odometer display LCD would quit randomly flickering, etc.)

*edit* Oh, and make sure that if you have to take your gauge needles off that you make sure to install them correctly. Some of them are not self calibrating, and will register wrong until you install them correctly again.

I don't like anything on the dash, just my preference. I have a hanger for my CB mic where the 4x4 controls would be but that's it. And I don't have any pictures at the moment but I can take one tomorrow. I have a crack in the dash pad still and I can't ind a light grey one around here that's not cracked too..

The only gauges I would like a 2 1/16 tac, vacuum, fuel pressure, and maybe air to fuel ratio.
