Default Air bag warning chime

I have the 5 x 5 airbag warning in my 95. I know the airbag is fried. How can I stop it from making the 5 x 5 annoyance? I disconnected what I thought was the noise maker, but it keeps on sounding.

The Blue box almost right behind the storage cubbie in the lower dash is what you're looking for. Also, the if the airbag bulb in the instrument cluster burns out it'll chime.

I'm pretty sure the air bag has already gone off at some point. So replacing the bulb wouldn't really help.

Do I disconnect both connectors to the blue box?

With the abundance of F150's in Junk Yards you may be wise to just pull a non-deployed air bag and swap yours out, should be fairly cheap. Is your air bag light on or blinking? If no then replacing the bulb will shut the 5x5 chime off, then you will also be able to properly diagnose any other issues the air bag system has. Also some air bag codes will, from what I've been told, prevent the CEL codes from appearing until they are fixed which is not a good thing.

Do what you want but air bags save lives.

None of my dash lights work. It's on the list of things to do.

Repair the dash lights, most likely all burnt out, and the dinging will go away.

FYI bulbs on rockauto are super cheap, bought bulbs for EVERYTHING on my truck for less then what just the headlight bulbs were at the auto parts store.
