Should just pull out, there may be tabs pushed out to help hold it in better on the radios metal sleeve. Try to wiggle it out, don't use excessive force, if it just doesn't want to come look and see why. It may be easier if you remove the little plastic trim around the radio that is part of the radio itself, not part of the truck. Then try and pull it out.

UPDATE: i got the radio out, it was not fun and i have the cuts to prove it. anyway i found out why there was no sound coming from the radio, looks like the dumbass previous owner had it wired for an amp but he took it out before he sold the truck and never rewired it to work. pisses me off that i gotta go and clean up somebody's lazyness. any way this is what im working with. all that blue wiring was plugged in the back on the cd player and they hacked up the stock wiring harness badly (as you can see in 2nd pic the original plugs are gone and cut wires remain). is there anything i can do to put this back to working order? im so frustrated i had to walk away
