I've got a 1992 XL and I know there's a ton of other threads about this stuff but I'm too lazy to go look at the ones I haven't already read. The best looking 40/20/40 I've found is out of a 1995 F250, would that be a direct swap and where would I get one? Local salvage, pull a part?

It would not be a direct swap as bench seats only use 4 bolts, and 40/20/40 seats typically use 8, you would need to drill new holes, but the floor is thin, you could drill all of the holes in maybe 10 minutes, I had never done it before and that's how long it took me.

I used 40/20/40 seats from a 2003 F150 in my 1993 F150 Flareside that I paid $75 in brand new condition at a junk yard.

All depends on the layout of the seat frame.

FWIW my 40/20/40 only had 4 mounting points for the frame of it (2 bolts and two nuts to go on truck frame bolts)
