2013 F150 Seats in a 1992 *With Pics*
After much research and crawling through countless salvage yards... I could not seem to find bucket seats suitable to replace my worn out bench in my 1992 F150 regular cab.
I managed however to stumble onto a wrecked 2013 F150 with grey cloth interior. I removed and used the existing bench seat tracks but made my own "seat pan" or "seat frame" that i could mount my new seats to.
over all review, these seats are badass. much more comfortable than the old worn out bench. my next plan is to make a center console with cup holders, a storage compartment and a subwoofer.
Here are some of the pics
ignore the duplicates... everything was fabricated to be removed and original factory equipment re-installed.

One question. Why did you mount bucket seats to a homemade bench rack instead of unbolting the factory track and building an adapter so you could move each seat individually? It would also have allowed you to have a stationary console so it doesn't interfere with your shifter.
It looks good, and you did put a fair amount of thought into it from the looks of the craftsmanship.

Nice job.. Thats the kind of project that makes you feel like an engineer. That being said, I also wonered why you didn't make the seat be adjustable individually.

The factory 2013 seat brackets are very oddly placed on the floor of the 92. The mounting holes would have been in weird places on the floor and it would have sat quite a bit too high. Being as that my steering wheel is also not adjustable, me knees would have been hitting it. I really didn't care if I had the ability to adjust the individual seats either. Being that it's a regular cab, the old bench seat was usually slid all the way back for more leg room.

Not much of any leg room was lost but it does sit about an inch lower which gives the feeling of loosing leg room.

It still works either way. Are you going to frame a console to mount to the floor with clearance for your new seat frame or mount it to the frame you built so it moves with the seats? I know on my stepdad's 94 dually, the seat has to be all the way back for his cupholder to fit or it tries to kick the shifter out of 2/4/R.
