What's this thing behind the cab?
1994; 144k; automatic; 6 cyl. On the outside back wall of my cab facing the front wall of the bed is a black plastic rectangular something. Can't see enough of it to tell what it does and have not taken off the inside cab liner to take a look so am wondering if any of you know what this device is. Thanks.

It is a piece of cast iron. Its main intention is a sound deadner, when the air comes up through the cab and bed it makes a harmonic noise. And that metal stops it ,its mounted on rubber and bolted to the cab.
