Default Rear fender well rust

Have a 1990 f150 it has the typical f150 rust over the wheel wells in the rear I want to seal it off for winter but I don't need a permanent fix because I'm going to fix it properly in the spring when it warms up I just want the rust protected from the road salt for the snowy season is there a product at an auto parts store or lowes/ Home Depot I could get to cover the metal after I grind out the rust that would work well temporarily?

One season isn't going to matter if you're fixing it in the spring. Just leave it.

Rust Check makes a good spray on product that might help keep it from getting any worse than it is. It's only 8 or 10 bucks, if it makes you feel better.
