New headlights 95 XLT smoked lenses
I have a 95 XLT I purchased a pair of halo smoked lenses and they were gapped where the light met the quarter panel when I asked the vendor they said it was because it was an XLT has anyone ha this problem? Better yet has anyone put these on if so where can I find the right ones for my truck

It won't matter if you have an xlt, it's all the same. That's a sharp looking light though, were all the bolts in and tight? Aftermarket parts aren't always 100% and may require a bit of work to get it to fit right, I'd start by seeing if there's any obvious differences with your stock lights.

Any good tips on removing the headlight itself? Mine were slowly filling up with water and I went to drill a hole, put too much pressure on the light and it broke the bottom support of whatever was holding it. The light is still secure but it doesn't have support at the bottom. I put a plastic oval thing in there to stabilize it but I need new headlights and not real sure how they come out. Let me know how your headlight project turns out!
EDIT: btw I think that vendor is full of crap. Don't know for sure but I would think they're all the same

Pop the grill and turn signals out then take the clips off that hold the adjusters to the panel is the way I did it if I recall.
The only exterior difference between an xl vs xlt is grey/painted grill/bumpers and mirrors compared to the chrome of the xlt. Which is all interchangeable, the seller is full of it, it's either a poorly fitted light or you didn't have it installed correctly.
