101recon

I did some work on my drivers side door handle a while back and this fell out. I can't find it in any parts list, diagram, schematic, etc. It's seems to be gasket material and it's about .035 thick. I tried every orientation I could to try and see where it goes with no luck. I'm sure it's a water barrier but just can't figure out where it goes. Anyone know?
