Used remote control Led rope lights with the adhesive on the back. I had to use glue in some spots. Cheap and cool mod.

like the leds from any parts store? how do they hold up in the weather

http://bit.ly/1lvezrD this is were I got the lights bought 2 rolls! One remote will work for both though ( kept my extra for a spare). They are waterproof so wether safe of course.

We had some pretty intense wind,cold, snow, rain, and ice were I live and so far the have held up great on the highway with wind at 65mph. As long as you apply heat and wrap tight and don't be afraid to be friendly on some good glue you will be fine!

I will get you detailed pictures, but I had some random power supplies lying around that fit the controllers so I just cut them from the wall plug and wired to my battery. Like I said I'll get you pictures
