Default LED ideas?

I want to put some LED lights on my truck for better visibility at night.

Where do you guys have your lights mounted and what size bars do you have?

Has anyone mounted a smaller size bar on the cowl piece that already has holes in it? I've seen jeeps like this

Just throwing around ideas, I'm leaning towards 2-4 6" single row bars in the grille.

Also, could they be wired into the high beams without a new relay?

Pics would be greatly appreciated, Thank You.

The stock wiring is actually overtaxed as it is, I think taking more power away from the high beams would be detrimental. Here is a write up on upgrading the stock wiring, if you did this you would have no problem just adding another hot wire from the high beams relay to supply power to as many LEDs as you wanted. Don't have any pic, nor any on my truck, but have seen two smaller bars in the grill, can't say how much they improved visibility but can tell you that they looked decent.

My favorite has always been the bumpers with holes in them (250's I believe) then whatever you want in there, HID, LED, etc...

Funny you ask about LEDs! I just wired in a pair over the weekend. Seems that quite a few folks have those obnoxious light bars around so I strayed from the status quot and bought 2 square LED fog light style and mounted them on top of my bumper and in front of the grill. Plus Christmas is coming and I was not going to spend over $100.00 on a bar. Ive got less than $30.00 and are the beez neez in night driving and DRLs as well. Look>>>>>

These are the ones I purchased and they are SICK BRIGHT at about 4500 lumens. They really turn day into night without breaking the bank. These are sold as 1 unit so order 2. Plus read the write ups! Those light bars had not so great reviews and questionable quality..........................and a lot them were getting wet and overheating and catching fire.

I haven't had any bad luck with light bars I bought in the past but those were all for my ATV's so mounting wasn't an issue. I can't quite figure out how to mount em on my truck cause I don't have holes in my bumper...
