Default LED conversion

I have a 95 f150 that I'm getting new taillights and headlights housings for. I want to switch the bulbs over to leds as I think they look better. Can anyone tell me what to look for when buying the new bulbs so that they roughly match the brightness of the original bulbs? I don't want to buy some and find them too dim but I also don't want them to be overpoweringly bright either. Thank you in advance.

Are you looking at a projector head light or reflective headlight housing?

You could go hid conversion kit or the led conversion kit. The hid kits are cheaper and more intense this would require proper adjusting of your headlight! LEDs are bright also I never seen these though in action to know of there quality.

I run low beams hids in my stock housing! I just adjusted them to aim low to avoid overwhelming light to other drivers. These kits run about $40

I'm currently running the hid lookalike "superwhite" bulbs. I've been thinking about the hid conversion kit. I'm planning on running leds as my marker/blinker/tail/brake lights.

I got LEDs for my jeep and what a difference for my brake and turn signal lights. I also installed them for the interior and it is almost like daylight. I got mine at VLEDs.com and found them very helpful.

I put blue leds in my interior, under my gauges, and in my cargo lights. I love the customized look it gave my truck.
