I ended up spending a little more on a black 1995 F-150 with a 5.8 liter, extended cab, long bed, 4x4, with the E4OD. 122,000 miles on it and I picked it up for $3,100. So far I'm happy with it, the guy at the DEQ even commented on how smoothly and easily it passed emissions.

The original truck the OP posted about was a short bed. The truck he bought was a long bed. It's easy to tell. The short beds have the same distance from in front of the rear tire to the cab as the distance from the rear of the tire to the tail gate. A long bed will have much more visible length to it from the cab to the front of the back tire. I went through this as well looking for one. I originally wanted a single cab long bed to haul stuff. Saw one that fit the bill but was a ways away so I asked the guy. He swore it was a short bed. I went and looked at it anyways b/c in the pic it sure looked like a long box to me. It was. Since he thought it was a short bed I wonder how long he thinks the long beds really are. 10 foot I guess
