Headlights suck. Install fog lights?
I have my new to me 88 F150. Drove it the first time at night the other day. I noticed the head lights dont seem to put out a lot of light. They are aimed properly and are not clouded up to bad. The head light aimer picks them up just fine. Thinking of adding fog lights to help visibility. Any recommendations? Was looking at the Hella 550s.

Once you go LED you won't go back. Honestly for seemingly the same price, I'd go LED to draw less power and get way more light. Even just a 12" bar works wonders.
Or you could look into the headlight relay modification. It supposedly brings out way more light from your headlights than stock wiring would deliver.

Looked into LED headlights. I saw reviews of the bulb replacements. Didn't look to promising. I got LEDS in my motorcycle and love them. Just wish I had sealed beams in the truck. What is the relay mod? Haven't heard of it.

If it's anything like the Chevy I'd imagine it would wire it so the high and low are on together. I doubt the housing would like the extra heat much though, not to mention the bulbs. I'd personally swap out the bulbs, clean the lense up and if that's not enough put a small LED light bar on it.
