Can you just put HID headlight bulbs in stock headlights?

x2 on not putting them in the stock housing, you will "dazzle" every driver you come across. Retrofit projectors in a stock style housing if you like the factory look. I don't so that wasn't an option for me.
Since mine have been in I haven't had any issues, got halo projectors off ebay. Been through 80*+ down to below freezing. No fogging, no issues, honestly couldn't be happier with the $180 I spent, these puppies light up the night. Hardest part about them is leveling the beams because they put the adjuster in the worst place possible so the assembly has to be partially removed to adjust them.
Just the parking lights, I still can't get a good picture of the HID's in action because of the auto flash on camera and phone, may just have to make a video and set up a youtube account.

Just the dims, having HID brights is not a good idea because it takes the HID bulb a few seconds to heat up and provide it's full light. When turned on from cold (hasn't been on for 10+minutes regardless of ambient temperature) there is a few seconds of dull light before they get bright. If you were to have HID's on brights, that weren't a dual bulb (for dim and bright) you would be driving blind for a couple of seconds.
