I'm looking for a quick and dirty patch ideas to fix these holes in the bed.




I was thinking of cutting out the rust around the area then taking some sheet metal forming it as best I can and just screwing it into the surrounding bed. I'd use a bunch of sealant under it and on top of it to make sure no more water leaks underneath it. I don't have a welder so that isn't an option, I'm just looking for something quick and easy to just patch this for the time being.

Your idea sounds good. Get a tube of windshield urethane to glue it with ($10) and then screw it in place.
