My purple 95 flare-side f-150 has what is called a California cover. Fiberglass snug top solid cover lifts up with hydraulic shocks and is purple matching truck. Got it at Driven Auto in Prescott Valley, AZ. Talk to Merle they have several in the back lot that fit various models of trucks. Do not like the folding ones I have seen. Too much money to let a lot of rain in. Do not have a precipitation problem in Prescott, Az so fiberglass cover is perfect.

Hey guys sorry to resurrect an old thread but I've been on the hunt for a few days now and I'm not turning up anything. I'm wondering how a tonneau cover works with these flare side trucks since there is no bed rails. Does anybody out there have any pictures of how there is mounted up? I have a 94 FlareSide myself.
Thanks!

I discovered the Diamondback 270 tonneau cover for my flareside. Does not need rails and fits right on the bed. Check web site diamondback.com. My contact was Jerry Miles.
The 270 Has all sorts of bin configurations and a butterfly design for tools etc. HAd 12 cleats installed at the factory. Once closed the top holds 400lb of weight safely. We haul alfalfa and feed sacks there. No more hay flying around everywhere in the bed anymore. Also other designs can haul ATV and side-by-sides on the top. The back lift top of this 270 comes off so you can haul tall items like a grandfather clock or furniture etc. Very happy with the unit. Install at Driven Auto in Prescott Valley AZ was about 2 hours. Hope this helps.

bed cover/ lid
I've looked everywhere, (craigslist, LMC, Leer, etc...) and can't find one anywhere. I would like to find a soft sliding/folding cover, but I can't even find just a regular hard cover. Anyone know where to find one? Just wanting to improve the appearance of my truck and (since I don't have much room in the cab of my truck, and me being 6'8" the seat is as far back as it'll go for a single cab, so I can't put anything behind the seat) I'd like to be able to put stuff in the bed without it getting wet when it rains (I'm in Arkansas so the rain is unpredictable), and I drive on the highway a lot so it would help my gas mileage slightly. Thanks.

This thread is 5 years dead. He probably figured something out by now, or sold the truck.

Well this is kinda funny. Ive been looking into things for my Ford again when Google led me here. I thought the thread looked familiar and then, lo and behold, there I was! Pictures would be neat =) just curious what did you do for a motor? Anything special?
