Default Why does my truck stall?

I have a 1994 f150 with a 302, it is an automatic. And lately I have noticed that when I put the truck In reverse it'll stall out of bog down. Also, if I start going up hill the truck doesn't downshift it just bogs down as well. Not sure if it could be leaking or if the pan gasket has gone bad. Anything helps. Thanks

Check your IAC. My 93 Bronco 5.0L would do the same thing. The rubber hoses going from the IAC were dry rotted and caused a vacuum leak. I replaced the hoses and it backs up fine now

I had a similar situation on 91 a while back. It was the MAP sensor. Is it throwing any codes?

I have the same issue, I have removed the IAC and cleaned it but it didn't make a difference. Also my IAC doesn't have any hoses going to it. It's just bolted to the throttle body and has a connector to it.

My 95 would randomly stall and not restart (sometimes). Found the timing was out 18 degrees!!! Reset the timing and no problems (at least no stalling problems).

I've heard of the filter in the trans falling off causing that problem. Could also be the MLPS maybe.
Or your engine just isn't running right.
