Default Truck reving high

Have a 93 5.0 with e40d transmission. When I drive it it'll rev up high sometimes like it's in Neutral then it'll actually like grab and go. Any idea

If you got the dough rebuild the transmission if not, take the transmission pan off change the filter, pan gasket, and put new synthetic ATF fluid in it but replace one quart of the ATF fluid with Lucas transmission fix. Never used it myself but have heard people have gotten great results.

Mercon V is ATF (automatic transmission fluid).
If you're not too familiar with all this transmission stuff, a reputable tranny shop will charge about $80 to 100 to change your filter, gasket and fluid. Sometimes that's all it takes. If it doesn't work, you spent $80 trying before you drop 1800 on a rebuild.
They almost always try to scare you by showing you all the crap in the pan, but don't go for it. Just fluid, filter and gasket.
And either Lucas or Seafoam tranny additives can help an ailing transmission.

Chris_1, well said. Changing out the fluid, filter, and gasket isn't hard at all. All you need is a ratchet, a socket, fluid and filter and gasket, a catch pan, and some time. Not hard at all. But if you're in doubt just pay someone to do it.
