I have a 1992 f150 302 4x2 with a E4OD tranny in it. My tranny just went out and i can only use reverse Low 1 and 2. I found a c6 tranny for a smallblock ford but i have no clue if it will hook up. will it?

Yes it will. I have done a lot of research because I was thinking of going with an AOD. I have a c6. I need to rebuild or replace mine as well. All transmissions from the 300, 302, and 351 have the same bolt pattern. Only trans you would need adapter or fab work would be using small block eng and big block trans, and vice versa.
