okay a buddy of mine just bought a 1993 5.0 to restore and we need to pull the trans out. any tips or tricks on getting it out?? Thanks

Are you swapping to a different tranny or just trying to take it out to rebuild it?

hes going to take it out to rebuild it or maybe throw in a rebuilt one, but not changing it, neither of us have done a trans before

This is for a manual transmission and 4WD - many less steps if it is 2WD and/or automatic, though an automatic does have the torque converter not covered here. Really the key is to have the right tools and an adequate workspace.
