I have an 88 150 the door sticker gives a trans code of T and its my understanding that the truck came with a 5r110w 5sp auto but the truck actually has a AOD trans that has lost 3rd and 4th gears a friend has a AODE that has been rebuilt is it possible to use this trans where i have the AOD?

Since the AODE is electronically controlled I think you would have to swap in a new wiring harness to make it work. Better to search for a mechanical AOD instead in my opinion.
