Slave cylinder replacement?
My buddy got an 89 F250 5.8 4x4 5 speed and the slave cylinder went after 2 hours of ownership. Anyone know how to replace it? ( super duty forum is dead )

Yes, start by removing the transmission. There are a few little tricks, like how to remove the hydraulic line from the slave cylinder. I would get a Haynes repair manual, it does a pretty good job of explaining everything.
Your buddy will probably want to replace the clutch parts(clutch disc, pressure plate and pilot bearing) while it's tore apart. Unless the previous owner used an off brand slave cylinder and just replaced those parts while replacing the slave cylinder.
Did I mention just use a genuine FORD replacement slave cylinder, or you may be doing the job again very soon.
