Oil goes down not up when it leaks most of the time. When I got my 91 it was leaking and the guy said it needed new valve cover gaskets. I said ok. First thing I did was tighten the for bolts on the cover and it ain`t leaked again. Don`t over look the easy stuff. Take the bolt out put some gu pucky on it put it back in and see what happens.
