Default Rebuilt AOD trans doing the same thing 4 days after a rebuild.

So I posted a week ago with transmission issues. Ended up getting it rebuilt. The mechanic said three clutchplates were burnt but couldnt see what was causing it. He went back through it and put it all back together and kept it for a couple days and said it was ready to go. Well After three days of driving it was having a hard time finding overdrive, then went back to normal. The after that it didnt want to come out of first but went back to normal also. Went to start it this morning and go to work and all I have is first and reverse. Could there be something wrong with my reer differential or something to be causing this, I am begining to get annoyed and broke after a 700 rebuild. WOndering if I should just buy a new tranny and tell him to put it in instead of messing around with warranty fixing this one.
Please help.

I don't know what you're driving but is there something electrical that could be causing it (like a TPS, MLPS, etc)?

I also read another poster was having similar issues with OD and it ended up being an injector.

I would send it back and tell them to get it right. Or if it is another problem, figure it out and let you know. $700 is $700, you paid to have it fixed, not preventative maintenance.

Quick update. Was mowing today and had to move it, let it idle for like 20 min and get warm and it was acting fine. Any suggestions.

Checked it hot last time and it was fine. Its been sitting since then. Till today when I let it run forever then just got curious. I plan on taking off in it tomorrow while its cold right after I start it. Then I will be at least a step closer. And check the fluid when I get back.

And I would have it back to the guy already but unfortunately his father passed on Sat. And I dont want to be the ******* bothering him in such an unfortunate time. Im giving it a few days. I live in a small town and I know hes not just pulling a line. Just trying to come up with some idead to float to him as to why its doing the same thing again after being rebuilt. IE Not having anything except 1st and reverse when cold, but seemingly fine when its warm.
