Default Possible transmission issue

From 0 to around 45 during acceleration all seems and feels fine however when I try to hold steady at any speed along the way the truck seems to slightly jerk. After 45 it seems fine. Although it does seem to shift hard into 3rd.

A few weeks back after doing work on truck I took it for a 60 mile trip. I had issues and was having to keep foot on throttle at stop, I thought tranny, it was the map sensor, but it made me check tranny. It was 4 qts low. After adding fluid is when I noticed the jerking.

My thinking is that the new fluid caused some debris to dislodge. IDK

If anyone has any thoughts my ear is open.

Thanks Mike

I guess I got a stumper here. Well I since I am not sure about the history on this truck and the pan is leaking I will start by installing a new filter and go from there.

Has anyone ever rebuilt there own tranny?

I thought I read somewhere that a tranny out of a 94-95 model is better than the earlier models. What's up with that?

I was getting CM for the MLPS. So I replaced it. The wires at the connector were all bare. It's hard to believe it was driving at all. Took it for a drive and it was shifting a lot better. Everything seemed to be performing like it was supposed to. Drove it last night and it was acting up again. Probably all throughout the driving range but most noticeable around 35-45. It's really looking like a tranny rebuild.

Anyone else ever have similar issues? If so what did it wind up being?

The later E4OD's had upgrades because the earlier ones had issues. Rebuilding an earlier one is fine, just make sure the upgrades are done.
I don't see where you checked for any codes - that would be the first thing to do.

I was getting CM for the MLPS..

This from my previous post.

I did replace it and in so doing it seemed to shift somewhat better, However it still has that problem.

I am hoping I can come across a tranny out of a 94-96 that if I am lucky has already been rebuilt. If not I could just install and not have any issues. In the meantime I will continue to drive I guess until it quits.

Might want to test your TPS as well.

Would I be able to do that with a DVOM or do I need an analog meter?
What should the measurements be?

Well here is the skinny! I replaced an out of range TPS although it was probably doing fine.

How many actually gears or speeds in the E4OD?
I from a stand still with OD on and off I count 4 shifts by the time I hit 35. At 35 it starts bucking.

Am I looking at tranny rebuild?
