Thanks for the reply guys. Ive decided on rebuilding my AOD myself. I was able to fix the little plastic connection from the TV cable and put it back within spec, but with no luck. Still no 3rd or OD gear. It will get up to 35 mph if I have it in drive, then it slips to neutral. So im guessing my direct clutch plates are toast....Gonna buy a rebuild kit from summit and have a friend help with the rebuild. Kit comes with a shift kit as well and is made buy TCI. Is anyone familiar with this kit? TCI a good company?

Did you get your problem sorted out? I have a similar issue with my '95.

When you did the fluid change did you change the filter? If you over tighten the filter bolts to the valve body the pistons and valves will not work correctly.
