Question Loud Ticking Noise

I have a 1993 f150 with the 5.8 and around 146000 miles. The truck starts making a loud ticking noise that seems to be coming from the passenger side head, but it only does this after you get on the gas and it gets to higher rpms. it it most likely coming from the valve train, but has anyone else had this issue?

A ticking noise could be caused by several things. You could have a valve spring that's getting weak and not closing fast enough at higher rpms. There could be a small restriction causing that valve to get less oil. It could be an exhaust leak. It could be a rocker arm out of adjustment, or just a worn arm.

Use a stethescope to narrow down the area where the noise is coming from.
