Default Loud radiator fan

Hi, all. I have a 1990 bronco with a 5.0 whose fan is damn lound and wont turn off. I replaced the fan clutch. Didnt work. Changed it again. Didnt work. I doubt autozone gave me 2 bad fan clutches, so i dont think thats the probpem. Anyway, engine temp is fine too. Anybody have any idea whatccould be up?

With the motor shut off of course, and cold, grab a fan blade and give it a flick. It should move by itself 3 or 4 inches and stop.
If autozone could give you 1 bad clutch then why assume the 2nd one would be any better ?
Just sayin'.
It might be something else of course, but autozone doesn't exactly sell motorcraft quality parts. So new is not always good if you follow me there.

Went thru 2 Oreilly and one Auto Zone fan clutches in a roughly 2 month period, they all stuck engaged. The one I have now is from Auto Zone and has been on about a year. It's a clutch for a 90's 5.0 Mustang with no AC, so a light duty clutch but it works as designed.!

I might try going that route. Was it a foxbody mustang it came from or the generation just after that? Also, did everything bolt right up? Did the existing fan work?

It was a fox body 5.0 application and bolts up to the existing fan.
