Thanks in advance for you help guys.

I just bought and received my first F150. Its a 1996 XL with 5.8 351 V8, auto transmission and 4x4. The truck has 216k miles and no paperwork from previous owner. Already, I know the truck needs front brakes.

My biggest concern is a shuddering from and to stop, mostly under 10 mph. I understand there is a lot that could be causing this problem, but where should i start?

I'm planning on changing all the fluids, oil, coolant, power steering, brake, transmission and differential, so hopefully this will help my problem atleast a little bit. let me know if theres anything im missing

Do you guys think its a bad idea to change the transmission fluid in a truck with this high milage and unknown maintenance history?

Also, any other suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check your pads and rotors for warps or bad spots just to rule that out on the brakes
