Cleaning grounds is always a good idea. It could be electrical, but from your symptoms I'd be checking the fuel pressure before anything else.

Already did check fuel pressure, it was good, but hard to tell because im not under a load. Idle never acts up while I had it on, and rally it hasn't since I replaced tps. But hesitation is still present. Problem occurs with either tank selected, and fuel pressure regulator didn't lose abnormal pressure in "X" time. Took the vacuum line off and pressure shot up a bit like it should. I believe pump and regulator is good, but any other tests to run anyone can think of to maybe "agitate" the problem?

you say you have 32 psi fuel pressure,, That is almost a fail. As the fuel pump gets hotter ,it can start loosing pressure.. I would be doing some more pressure testing when hot if it was mine.

My son's Ranger was acting up, a lot of hesitation and hard start and no start. Wouldn't climb the hill to get to where my workshop is. Turned it around and backed it up the hill like nothing. His fuel pressure was down to 20 psi - 2 week old pump.

I guess in my mind it is also hard to believe that both pumps just so happen to act up at the exact same time, and both start working fine at the exact same time. But I have seen some stranger things. However, there is something that I forgot about that happened back in fall that happened again now. Last fall when it started getting cool outside my distributor started making awful noise and vibrating the cap, like a failing distributor or a cap not seated correctly. Pulled off the cap, didn't look to bad but it was time for cap and rotor, so Just replaced them and ran it real quick. Noise stopped, and didn't happen again until a few days ago. I haven't yet pulled of the cap and checked shaft play, but I will today. Yesterday when driving, I got codes for bank one and two being too rich. It never set the check engine light, I just randomly check driving down the road. Then later I got bank two running lean and egr valve flow insufficient detected. (Ive been hearing an exhaust leak lately and suspect its my egr tube) these all are pending codes, never set the light. Then later again just both banks running rich. Also last night when parking the trailer I noticed the truck sputtering a bit. Revved it to about 1000 rpms and the rpms started fluctuating between 1000 and 1150 with steady throttle input. Give it more and it starts sputtering. Put it in gear and give it gas on the brake, doesn't do it. Go on the road, loss of low end power, I floored it and let off, then suddenly it runs fine the rest of the night. Now, know that yesterday the truck was driven 230 miles, and from 95 degree weather to 75. I plan on playing around with the truck today after church, so any ideas what to test let me know! Ill be testing fuel pressure again and some other stuff.

So, looking for distributors for my truck I run into this problem. Correct me if im wrong, but I thought my Distributor would have a steel gear. So why is it that when I look for one, the only steel gear distributor I can find is msd or cardone? Motorcraft doesn't say anything about their distrubitor, and I can only find a distributor with a cast gear for my truck from Richporter. Those are really the two brands I wanted to stick with. Maybe Ill pull mine out real quickk and see what gear it has, I just don't like messing with stuff having no replacement first, even with something like a Distributor.

I just lol'ed at my title, I meant Intermittent power loss. Just noticed that. Anyway, I caught my egr solenoid red handed today. Was listening to the truck and I heard some air. Then the truck started spitting and sputtering and rpm was fluctuating. I pulled the vacuum line off the egr, and what do you know! It idled perfect. Ran the truck, it was still low on power and the hesitation at ~45 and ~75 was still there. But the truck ran better. I then left the line off the egr, unpugged the upstream o2 sensors and ran. The truck ran near perfect now. Much more low end power like it should have, but at say 85% throttle input it pulled hard like it should, but if I floored it it didnt do anymore. When the truck ran 100% fine you can feel the difference between all the way to the floor, and very close to all the way down. SO I drove into town for gas, then I felt my hesitation. Stopped at a light and the truck ran rough, fuel trim for both long and short trim went to full add fuel, and the truck ran bad, but at idle. Take off, does fine, then randomly the hesitation comes back. Now during all this, I still have the two upstream o2 sensors unplugged and egr vacuum line off, and not plugged, so I have a small vacuum leak there. Got gas and got back into the truck, started and it ran fine. Then my airbag light started flashing! It gave me code 34, and my horn works. I have been having issues with my cruise lately, It has now just stopped working (for the third time Ive had the truck, that cruise has been a pain). So, I guess the truck is just gonna fall apart on me now lol. It's been great, and now it just doesn't seem to be happy, everything wants to break.

So here is the truck in all its glory. Its a nice truck in great shape, just frustrating how everything wanted to break at once. But its old, and all old things need tinkering to keep going.
